HP Help Desk October 28, 2008 J.D.L. (Parkesburg, PA) We purchased this laptop from Amazon and were very please with the computer, but after about a week we had trouble getting on the internet with our wireless connection. Called support at HP and initially they were very helpful. They determined that the computer needed a new wireless card and they would ship us one and it would be here Thursday the 23 of October. One Friday the 24 of October I called HP because we had not received the new card and was told that that there was a hold on the shipment, but he did not know why there was a hold on the shipment and someone from Tech Support would call me on Monday. Waited till around 8pm and called HP again. They told me he would put a priority on the shipment and I would have by the end of the week. We are very disappointed the Hp support.
Toshiba's Qosmio X305 compared October 26, 2008 Mayank K. Kothari (Iowa, USA) Just a very brief note for potential buyers to compare this laptop with Toshiba's newest Qosmio X305-Q706. Take a look at the Qosmio and check out spec by spec.
Defective media buttons October 8, 2008 I. Chagoya (Miami, USA) Very nice look and feel but I had to return it, the media buttons did not work, tried everything (drivers update, reinstalling the whole software, etc)but nothing. Apart from that, it is a solid performer for the price.
Very Nice! October 3, 2008 Jedmo123 (NJ) Movies look great on this machine! The wireless connectivity is outstanding and it is fast. I love the touch controls for movies and the Internet TV capability is a bonus. If you are looking for a desktop replacement, I highly recommend this computer For the price, you can't beat this laptop, it does everything. The speakers are pretty good also.
Unhappy with HP October 1, 2008 Carlos Castro I bought the dv5 1010us firts and it works perfectly the only bad thing is that it gets too hot...Like a week later i bought the dv7 1020us for work and was happy with it for like 5 minutes until i started touching the quickplay buttons and found out that the mute and the quickplay one didnt work...then with the bluetooht didnt work, contacted hp for a solution downloaded a million drivers and nothing, shipped it back to amazon and when i recieved de new one the same problem happened. So i guess its not worth the money and i stayed with my DV 5 1010us laptop though it burns my legs..
